South Bronx Sagas: 3rd Avenue & Alexander, 2006 - 2026, Laser transfers, collaged dry wall, construction elements, graphite, ink, Text from Mott Haven historic plaque, poetry from Roger Bonair Agaard
Using images from the street, 19th Century land-marked architecture and found materials, this work exposes contradictions inherent in recent history, time and change. 21st Century signage, Bronx poetry and rubbings from plaques merge with photo transfers and drawing posing the past against the restored, regenerated present.
